Quiaios-Portugal - 2005/2006. Quiaios and Costa de Lavos maps were na ambitious project of Orienteering Club of Center. The aim was to perform there, the Portuguese Championships of Long Distance and Relay. The Quiaios map, was made by me during the period of September 2005 to March 2006. It was a very difficult job, but also very exciting because of challenges that had to win. I think it was a more important map that I made so far. It is a terrain and map appreciated by the world`s best orienteering runners who have trained or competed there. In 2010 was made a run to count as a World Ranking Event in the East of the map has never before used. The winners were: Thierry Georgiou, five times in middle distance World Champion and Simone Niglli, the best woman orienteering runner of the World.
